Wood is recruiting for Graduate Structural Engineers to join one of our business units across United Kingdom.

The office locations in this region are: Reading and Staines

The Role

Wood is deeply committed to the development of their people and recognises the importance of growing a talented team of professionals with expertise in Structural Engineering in order to ensure the future success of the organisation and the Energy and Materials sectors that we support.

 As a Structural Engineering Graduate you will have exposure to different parts of the business gaining vital skills within onshore and offshore structural engineering applicable to the different demands of renewable as well as hydrocarbon energy production and storage. 

At the end of the graduate scheme you will become a Structural Engineer and have the opportunity to specialise within one of our business areas. There will be the opportunity to development specialist skills applicable to the challenges of engineering fixed structures in marine environments far from shore. Alternatively, develop skills applicable to challenges applicable to major industrial developments in a variety of contexts.

 Who we are looking for

We are looking for high-achieving graduates with a desire to learn – the ideal candidates should have A Masters level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering enjoy problem solving / trouble-shooting, detailed analysis, willing to embrace new ideas, and most importantly; take on assignments where the approach or solution isn’t known at the outset.
