Prairie Central Cooperative is a highly successful grain business with unit train and country elevator locations in Central Illinois. Located just a few miles from both Bloomington-Normal and Pontiac, we are headquartered in Chenoa and have multiple facilities including Pontiac, Fairbury, Flanagan, Lexington and Dwight.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Supervision of Employees
o Communicate to others
o Lead by example to complete tasks
o Complete work in timely fashion
Safety & Maintenance
◦ Examine all areas for safety hazards
◦ Obtain working knowledge of facility and equipment
◦ Maintain clean and neat facilities
Grain Management
◦ Maintain grain quality standards
◦ Blend grain to contract specs
◦ Assure proper aeration of bins
Reporting
◦ Weekly housekeeping
◦ Monthly grain inventory
◦ Yearly building and equipment
Customer Service
◦ Greet customers
◦ Assist with unloading and loading
◦ Attend meetings and training
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2-3 years of related work experience to demonstrate the ability to provide daily leadership to all production personnel, problem-solving skills, time-management, and planning skills.
Understanding and experience with production scheduling, inventory management, equipment maintenance, operation records, and expense control.
Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.
Continuously exposed or required to:
Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) Noisy conditions Working conditions may include dust and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures. May be required to work at varying heights. Confined spaces Ability to Lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders
