About The Opportunity
In this full-time position, the employee will be expected to work daily to increase grain net margins and volume by building relationships with local producers, as well as calling on new accounts. The employee will be expected to provide excellent customer service and work well with patrons in a courteous and professional manner. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policies.
Our expectations are that you:
Are available to work Saturdays (as needed)
Are available to work overtime (as needed)
Are able to do heavy lifting, loading and bending (50-100 pounds)

Have experience working in agriculture and enjoy being a key player in the industry
Have good time management skills
Have good oral and written communication skills
Have good customer services skills
Are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Have confidence and experience in sales
Have a base knowledge of basis merchandising and how it relates to the mechanics of individual contracts and grain strategies
Have a basic knowledge of truck, rail and barge freight as it pertains to the area
Have an understanding of grain accounting, procedures and reports
Have the ability to execute grain strategies and direction as set forth by supervisor
Are skillful in negotiating acceptable and equitable grain purchases with producers and sales to local buyers
Highly qualified candidates will bring:
A BS degree in agriculture or equivalent experience
Knowledge of grain handling/marketing
Mechanical ability (helpful)
