Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Grant Accountant to join our team based in Sedro Woolley, Washington. As a Grant Accountant, you will be tasked with the financial and compliance management of grants and contracts, in alignment with Federal and State statutes and regulations, Company policies and procedures, and GAAP accounting procedures. This role will also involve some general staff accountant functions and will require the capacity to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee budgeting, financial and compliance aspects of grants and contracts.
• Ensure adherence to Federal and State statutes and regulations, Tribal policies and procedures, and GAAP accounting procedures.
• Perform duties of Grant/Contract Financial Management Specialist, as required.
• Assist with other staff accountant functions when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Conduct account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger and journal entries.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks.
• Conduct month end close processes.
• Keep up-to-date with aspects of grant accounting, budgeting, contract administration, and financial management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting and fund accounting.
• Prepare financial reporting and manage records effectively.
The salary range for this position is $90,600 to $96,600.

Requirements • Demonstrable experience in Grant Accounting and Financial Management
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Budgeting processes and Contract Administration
• Understanding of Compliance requirements in finance and accounting
• Familiarity with GAAP Accounting standards
• Experience in Fund Accounting
• Ability to create detailed Financial Reports
• Experience in Records Management and data organization
