Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Grant Accountant to join our team in lower Manhattan, New York. In the nonprofit industry, you will play an integral role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our grants and contracts. You will ensure compliance with policies, prepare reports, and assist in budgeting processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee the processing and updating of grants and contracts master schedule, taking into account renewals, reporting, and invoicing dates. • Assist in establishing and ensuring adherence to grants and contracts policies and procedures. • Prepare comprehensive budgets, reports, and invoices for grants and contracts in a timely fashion. • Act as a liaison between our organization and government agencies, ensuring compliance with their policies and procedures for our grants and contracts. • Assist in the preparation of schedules, analyses, and documents for financial audits and funders. • Participate in meetings to discuss receivables and expenditures related to grants and contracts. • Provide support to colleagues in strategizing to maximize revenue and complete cost recovery. • Serve as a resource for colleagues in understanding and fulfilling the internal and external requirements of grants and contracts. • Carry out additional duties related to grants management as required.
