Description A well-established nonprofit organization in Trenton, NJ, is seeking a Grant Accountant to join its team. This role is critical in ensuring proper financial management, compliance, and reporting for various grants and funding sources. Key Responsibilities: + Manage all financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, tracking, and reporting. + Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors in compliance with funding requirements. + Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with budget restrictions and funding guidelines. + Assist in grant proposal budgeting and financial planning. + Reconcile grant-related accounts and assist with audits as needed. + Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper allocation of funds. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector. + Strong understanding of grant accounting principles and compliance. + Proficiency in accounting software and Excel. + Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
