Grant Accountant
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Grant Accountant located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The position primarily involves managing and maintaining financial records for grants, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and collaborating with various teams to align financial management with organizational objectives. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurately maintain financial records for all grants to ensure that funds are utilized as per grant agreements and budgets • Prepare comprehensive expenditure reports and reconcile grant-related accounts to maintain accuracy • Monitor the progress of grants, aligning expenditure with grant timelines and funding availability • Uphold compliance with guidelines set by federal, state, and funding agencies, including OMB Circulars and other grant regulations • Assist in preparing audit schedules and documentation and participate in grant-related audits as necessary • Prepare and submit periodic financial status reports to funding agencies in accordance with grant requirements • Collaborate with program managers to ensure data accuracy and timely submission of both narrative and financial reports • Develop and revise grant budgets in collaboration with program staff and leadership • Conduct forecasting analysis to project future grant spending and funding needs • Collaborate closely with grant administrators, program leaders, and finance teams to align grant financial management with organizational goals • Communicate with funding agencies regarding necessary adjustments or questions related to budget utilization or compliance.
