Requisition #: 35794** **Job Summary:** **Key Responsibilities:** **Pre-Award Management (20%)** + Member of the grant-preparation team for CAIANH grants under the guidance of the Senior Grant Lifecyle Manager and the CAIANH Associate Director, strategizing with the research team on budget preparation, interpreting the NIH Application Guide, preparing grant applications in ASSIST or other electronic submission formats, and providing consultation on key components of grantsmanship. + Independently develop or assist faculty in the development and review of a working budget for certain grant applications dependent on grant complexity, as well as the development or preparation of F&A calculations, consortium agreements and scopes of work for subcontracts, budget justifications, as well as other sponsor-required documentation. + Independently work with the PI to route and submit grant applications, contracts, and subcontract agreements, as assigned by the Senior Grant Lifecycle Manager, in accordance with all deadlines. + Coordination of all information needed for OGC to respond to Just-In-Time requests from the sponsors for assigned grants within the time frame required. **Post-Award Management (60% of time)** + Maintain a collegial and productive partnership with OGC post-award to contribute to post-award management related to award restrictions, billing and invoice issues. + Utilize CAIANH's financial management system for projecting and tracking expenses + Collaboratively review with PIs Notices of Award for accuracy, funding cuts, and/or restrictions, address any possible changes from original funding announcement and grant proposal. + Consult with PIs and project staff regarding allowability of proposed expenditures on sponsored funding. + Prepare monthly reconciliation of grants and contracts, review expenditures to validate compliance with Federal, State, and University guidelines and policies. + Support personnel effort projections to be carried out by PIs for assigned grants. + Assist faculty in maintaining a comprehensive calendar to track all important dates related to grant submissions and renewals. + Support PIs in executing and monitoring of subcontracts, invoicing, and cash receipts, as well as the preparation and routing of amendments. **Other Fiscal Responsibilities (20%)** + Support PIs with planning and tracking personnel budget allocations, incorporating recommendations for salary increases on an annual basis, the varying needs of grants for staff time and effort, and projections of staff salary coverage. + Understanding and executing complex guidelines and regulations for salary caps, facilities and administrative cost calculations, funding restrictions. + Ensuring PIs are aware of and prepared to implement standardized fiscal policies and procedures across CAIANH projects. + Perform journal entries and payroll transfers as needed to correct spending within speed types or account codes. + Act as the Procurement Specialist, gathering receipts, allocating faculty procurement and travel card expenses, ensuring that monthly reports are completed, submitted and approved on a timely basis, ensures payment of supplies and services are compliant with University policies. + Along with the Center Associate Director, develop annual budgets for department funds. + Along with the Center Associate Director, monitor expenses on department speedtypes and make transfers as needed. **Duties:** + 20% -
