Description We are seeking a diligent Grant Specialist to join our team in Reno, Nevada. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in managing grants, tracking reimbursements, and maintaining financial records. This role provides a contract to permanent position opportunity in the non-profit sector. This is a part time job opportunity around 25-30 hours a week Responsibilities • Effectively manage and monitor grants received from federal and foundation sources. • Monitor reimbursements and ensure they correspond with outgoing funds. • Hold the responsibility for monthly financial reporting. • Supervise revenue tracking to ensure financial stability and transparency. • Use accounting software systems, specifically Abila MIP, for precise record-keeping. • Perform accounting functions and auditing to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. • Engage in budget processes to efficiently manage grant funds. • Oversee cash activity to ensure correct allocation and usage of funds. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector. • Proficiency in Abila MIP software. • Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems. • A strong understanding of Accounting Functions. • Proven experience in Auditing. • Knowledge of Budget Processes in a non-profit environment. • Experience with Cash Activity management. • Expertise in Federal Grant application and management.
