Grants Administrator

Position Purpose

The Grants Administrator is responsible for the administration, execution and integrity of Renown Healths grants process, proving expert coordination and monitoring of the grants lifecycle. This position collaborates on special initiatives to facilitate optimal communication and outcomes. In addition, the position participates in funds management helping to ensure that all grant milestones and outcomes are fully compliant. This position works with departments across the Renown Health system interacting with employees of all levels and requires a high level of professionalism and critical independent decision making. This position will be responsible for all grant related audits.

Nature and Scope

The incumbent will be responsible for:

Providing administration for the grants process through all stages including receiving, assessing, tracking, payment/check requests, documenting all inquiries and/or proposals; assuring that submitted documentation meets all Renown and legal requirements; and maintaining accurate and timely records of Renown Health grant activities

Maintaining the grant tracking database and physical grant files ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data as well as grantor relationship history

Compiling necessary information for the application process through collaboration with other employees, database research, community partners and other fact-finding actions and meetings

Ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of grant agreements

Supporting the Foundations finance and communication functions; generates requested information, data and reports

Researching government agencies and private foundations for grant offerings

Identifying and develops strategies to optimize the grants administration process

Ensuring that relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables, thereby ensuring smooth completion of work responsibilities.

Overseeing the job of invoicing, accounting, reporting and other administrative functions to ensure successful execution of grant process.

Maintaining records of all payments and receivables and prepare monthly records for all grant related activities

This position is highly visible to Renown Health employees, senior management, physicians and partners and is subject to interruptions. High standards of courtesy, performance and respect for confidentiality are essential. Independent judgment is required for appropriate decision making, problem solving and priority setting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

5+ years of grant administration experience required

Knowledgeable in local, state and federal grant regulations and requirements

Experience with donor relationship management and grant recipient software desired.

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Good teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work with and support multiple members of a team.

Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and organize workload; ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

Experience researching local, state, federal and private funding sources

Aptitude to interpret financial data and prepare budgets and financial reports

Maintain a high standard of professional practice and ethical conduct.
