Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Grants Analyst - Office of Science and Research.

The Grant Analyst provides pre- and post-award grant support. The Grant Analyst is responsible for working within RDM and serve as liaison with NYULH research teams and the sponsor to process awards, as well as tracking and reporting on new and active awards. This position entails general research administration duties.

Job Responsibilities:

Establishes new, continuation and supplement award setups; maintains budgets for programs, including reconciliation and transfers; maintains all official award records.

Provides pre and post-award general support.Reviews budgets to ensure compliance with NYULH and sponsor policies and procedures.Gather required documents from PI/Departments and subcontractor organizations as needed. Create subcontract information into Research Navigator to send to Agreements. Complete any internal documents required for subcontracting to share with OSR Contracts. Assess situations and provide solutions to mitigate problems during subcontract setup. Work with the PIs, Department, and OSR Contracts to make corrections as needed and ensure the subcontract is setup.Facilitate faculty and research staff interactions with RDM and various funding agencies, foundations, and philanthropies. Liaise with NYULH central offices and departmental personnel as needed.Respond to faculty requests for general information regarding Center, Department, and NYULH grant processes.Ensures that RNAV records are complete and accurate.Responsible for tracking and reporting on new and active awards.Participates in the external RNAV grant/contract system implementation and upgrades.Responsible for working in concert with Manager to manage post-award fiscal and administrative tasks.Works collaboratively within Research Data Management (RDM) to ensure proper award setup in the financial system.Maintains awareness of changes to NIH guidelines and federal regulations; has thorough understanding of institutional research administration policies. Implement and interpret policies and processes to faculty and research staff.Handles communication with sponsors regarding prior approval requests, no- cost extension requests, carryover requests, and respond to sponsor request for JIT information.Work closely with Research Administrative Informatics (RAI) to resolve any system issues related to award setup.Maintain list of all system errors/failures within RNAV with regards to award setup in PPS and report to Manager of RDM.Manage processes to ensure resolution of errors/failures of award setup and work closely with RAI and RDM to resolve matters related to award setup.

Minimum Qualifications:


To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of grants administration or other relevant experience.
Impeccable attention to detail.
Effective oral, written, verbal, organizational and creative problem-solving skills. Autonomous self-starter with the ability to exercise independent judgment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel.
Previous experience in an academic healthcare institution preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400 - 75,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
