We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented (Grants and Proposals Manager / Proposal and Funding Strategist) to join our team at Qualitrol. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing Federal and State Government funding opportunities, collaborating with internal and external partners, and ensuring the submission of high-quality proposals. This role is crucial in securing funding to support our innovative projects and initiatives.
Your Impact & Key Responsibilities:
In this position, the individual utilizes their knowledge of funding agencies and their planning cycles to get advanced notice of planned RFPs, collaborate with the Qualitrol technical and commercial teams to align on strategies to influence and respond with high quality proposals. Their primary focus is to secure funding for product and service development initiatives aligned with the company strategy.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and Identify Funding Opportunities: Regularly identify relevant funding opportunities from government agencies and other sources. Proposal Development: Collaborate with our R&D and commercial teams as well as academic/industrial partners to develop, write and submit high-quality proposals that align with our strategic goals. Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with funding agencies, staying updated on policy changes and new initiatives. Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on best practices for proposal development, ensuring continuous improvement in our proposal processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Communications, Science, Engineering). Proven experience in proposal writing and development, in academic or industrial setting. Proven experience in developing relationships with funding agencies in the energy, environmental, and sustainability sectors. Strong understanding of government funding processes and requirements. Experience in securing funding from the Department of Energy, EPA, New York State (NYSERDA) or The Government of Canada is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field. Experience working with R&D teams and academic/industrial partners. Familiarity with policy changes and new initiatives in the funding landscape.
