Grants Associate

Job Summary
Under direct supervision, provides administrative support for the review and approval of grant requests submitted by RJ Charitable donors. Exchanges basic and non-routine information with internal and external clients and charities and adapts procedures, processes, and techniques to meet the requirements of the position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Reviews incoming requests submitted by clients to determine if they meet requirements for grant approval. Refers only the most complex issues to higher level.
• Requests and receives information from charities to determine their eligibility for receiving grants.
• Research charities status with the IRS using resources provided.
• Maintains a clean database for all information received from eligible organizations.
• Collects data for preparation of various report.
• Assists in preparing, reviewing, or auditing reports.
• Assists with research and investigation. May prepare analyses of information.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Basic mathematical calculations.


Skill in
• Organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, electronic communication and maintain spreadsheets and databases.


Ability to
• Build solid, effective working relationships with others.
• Execute instructions and request clarification when necessary.
• Provide courteous, timely service when addressing customer questions and concerns.
• Speak clearly and concisely.
• Convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.
• Constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.


Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
Education/Previous Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent and zero (0) to two (2) years office or customer service experience.
• OR ~
• An equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.


Licenses/Certifications
• None required
