About the Agency: The mission of the ICfL is to assist libraries to build the capacity to best serve their communities. We’re looking for a Grants/Contracts Program Specialist to join our team in Boise, Idaho. Located in the heart of downtown Boise, the ICfL embodies a people-focused agency with a supportive and friendly culture. Hybrid and telework options are available. Summary:To evaluate grant or contract applications; provide grant or contract coordination and technical assistance; perform related work. Responsibilities: 1. Grant/contract evaluation/coordination. + Reviews and evaluates grant or contract applications for conformance to established criteria and compliance with provisions of laws and regulations + Ensures on-going compliance with regulations and legal use of funds + Confers with awarding agencies, grantees, contractors, and subgrantees on administrative procedures and bills + Maintains tracking system of expenditures and balances + Researches, collects and analyzes data to identify trends and prepare or adjust reports + May recommend payment or non-payment 2. Technical assistance. + Responds to inquiries regarding grant or contract availability requirements and procedures + Notifies grant applicants or contractors of program deadlines, procedures and status + Provides technical assistance and advises grantees or contractors on interpretation of program regulations and guidelines + May develop, design, or modify forms and documents RESULT A:Support the work of the ICfL Grants Officer and help ensure that all grants comply with appropriate governing laws, regulations, and policies. (80%) + Close awards after successful subgrantee completion of requirements. + Provide fiscal reviews of subgrant reporting. + Help ensure a timely and accurate grant award process for ICfL activities. + Help maintain an accurate and appropriate record keeping process for grants and contracts. + Support grant management system (AmpliFund) implementation. + Support the Education Opportunity Resource subgrant program. + Compile Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and other grant statistics. + Complete financial tasks like p-card coding, signature routing, receiving, and file retention. RESULT B:Support financial operations and maintain awareness and familiar with existing and new ICfL programs funded with grant dollars. (20%) + Assist the ICfL Grants Officer with grant questions or inquiries. + Attend training events, meetings, educational workshops, and conferences that improve professional skills and knowledge. + Participate in appropriate internal meetings and groups, fostering a spirit of cooperation and collaboration. + Learn about ICfL programming through site visits and assistance, when possible.
