Major Duties • Researches federal or state guidelines to determine requirements and time line; 10% • Develops grants applications; 20% • Identifies agencies and community organizations relevant to grant projects; 5% · Develops grant budget based on program proposal, grant guidelines and budget requirements; 10% • Maintains files containing information (e.g., grant applications, budget amendments, audit reports); 15% • Provides technical expertise, information and problem resolution for grant related activities; 10% • Administers and monitors all grant projects/contracts; creates reports as demanded by grant stipulations, and 20% • Other duties as assigned. 10% Competencies • Written and oral communication skills • Decision making and problem-solving skills • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree *and* Two (2) years of related work experience • Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis Preferred Qualifications · Post-secondary institution experience · Experience applying for and managing grants · Budget experience · Advanced skills in MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, PPT, and Word) and Canva · Superior writing skills • Demonstrated capability to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize workload · Self-starter with initiative and desire to support college initiatives Supervisory Responsibility None. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies, and requires business attire and professionalism. Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires longer hours and some weekend work. Travel Travel to other campus locations is required. Some overnight travel may be required.
