This position provides post award central administrative guidance to university faculty and staff while interacting with outside entities in regard to the financial matters of sponsored institutional research projects. Analyzes awards for the creation of projects and associated attributes within the PeopleSoft Grants Suite. Processes award setups and modifications in a timely manner. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. 2. Reviews system queries. Verifies system functions and activities. Identifies and correct system issues. Manages databases and maintains data integrity. 3. Provides expert advice, guidance and training to GCA and campus regarding sponsored awards and appropriate administrative processes. 4. Enforces compliance and ensures consistency with federal and state regulations, University policies and practices, research compliance restrictions and guidelines, financial and academic requirements, close-out practice and agency policies and procedures. 5. Assists with collecting and preparation of all relevant financial information for award close-out. 6. May provide information for audits. 7. Designs and compiles special reports in response to internal and external requests. Provides accessible data for reliable analysis, management review, research purposes and/or reporting requirements. 8. Assists in solving financial problems related to the administration of awards. 9. Reviews, interprets and implements sponsoring agency rules and processes corrections to financial statements. 10. Reviews receivables and pursues collection of problem receivables. 11. Communicates and resolves issues with appropriate funding agencies. 12. Testing and debugging GCA modifications and/or enhancements in PeopleSoft Grants Suite. 13. Responsible person on other assigned departmental projects. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. **Preferences** Experience in higher education or state government a plus. Experience in financial system implementation and knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle software a plus. The ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently under deadline. Knowledge of accounting software, advanced spreadsheet, analytical and problem-solving skills.
