Salary Range: $80,900.00 - $91,200.00  

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices 

Position Summary

Coordinates and administers grants and contracts from proposal review and submission, through award. This position's portfolio consists of non-complex grant mechanisms (R01, K, F).

Job Responsibilities Under direct supervision, reviews grant and contract application submission packages to ensure adherance to applicable internal and external policies. Handles limited application submission types for assigned departments; ensures appropriate and timely submissions. Coordinates and reviews Just-in-Time (JIT) sponsor responses. Negotiates standard terms and conditions for new or revised sponsor awards on behalf of WCM General Counsel. Serves as the liaison between sponsors and WCM for research processing operations including pre-award and post-award. Generates reports for dissemination to departmental administrators and staff. Answers inquiries from prospective investigators concerning possible sources of support, deadline dates for applicants, and on related policies of funding agencies and WCM. Responsible for the administration of subawards and data entry requirements. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education Bachelor's Degree in related field Experience

Degree pursuing candidates may be considered based on years of experience.

Approximately 1-3 years in Research Administration. 

Healthcare knowledge-clinical setting, administration or operations is highly desired.

Institutional research experience a plus.

Research Integrity (Conflicts, IRB, DSMB, IBC, IACUC, etc.) policy knowledge is preferred.

Contract Negotiations experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work under direct supervision. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Excellent English language skills. Good organization & time management skills, and the ability to manage several concurrent tasks. Ability to review contract details and apply appropriate language. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, complex environment.
