Grants Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME)
SGI Global is seeking Grants Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME). The Grants Specialist SME is an expert in federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration throughout the full grant lifecycle. The position requires demonstrated expertise in training, supervising, and monitoring key staff members in the day-to-day administration of federal grants while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities + Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for mission critical challenges/issues in the area of federal grant management and administration efforts. + Provides insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of up to date, industry standard solutions for assessments and data analysis. + Responsible for developing and implementing best practices in data collection methodologies and analyses relating to federal grant administration, oversight, and audits. + Consults with the client to define requirements and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. + Responsible for providing high level vision to program/project manager and team members to influence objectives of complex efforts. Requirements: + Shall have demonstrated expertise with grant policy and procedure development, process flow, document management, and reporting. + Must be detail-oriented and think logically. + Possesses excellent problem solving and analytical skills and excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills. + Possesses the ability to keep up with new business and technical concepts. + Able to work with minimal supervision. + Possesses strong team leadership and risk management ability. Qualifications: + Eight (8) years of relevant professional experience + Master's degree in public policy or a related discipline. Substitution Criteria: + 10 years of relevant experience + A Bachelor's degree in public policy or a related discipline. + Grants Management certification highly desired.
