Job Title: Graphic Design Coordinator

Job Status: Year Round Full Time

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $1,923.08 to $2,050.00+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:

High energy self-motivated graphic design coordinator responsible for marketing projects to support Copper Mountain’s financial, room night and skier visit goals as well as to assist resort business units in maximizing revenue and/or profit from each guest visit. Includes project coordination of campaigns focused on in-resort, while supporting the team’s National and Front Range efforts when needed. The graphic design coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the Copper Mountain brand and associated sub-brands are accurately communicated in both design and messaging and will also play a key role in communicating the Copper Mountain brand to internal and external partners. This position requires strong design skills and design background, with the ability to use these design skills in combination with our brand standards at a fast-paced level while maintaining project timelines and organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The graphic design coordinator must use the following skills and implement the following programs to be successful in this position. 

Brand – responsibilities include ensuring brand and design guidelines are adhered to in all projects.

Ability to take a project from conception through completion and do so on schedule and within budget.

Budget – understand basic budgeting and be able to forecast, process invoices and work within the parameters set in the overall budget.

Relationship Management – manage both internal and external relationships to maximize productivity and create a positive environment for all parties to work.

Attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, follow-up and accountability skills. 

Balancing a high workload and high number of clients/departments’ marketing needs. Works closely with the Project Manager to prioritize projects based on business needs.

Creation of design templates for campaigns, social media messaging, and other marketing needs.

Creation and management of digital assets for company website.

Working with individual business unit manager/directors on plans and programs.

Assist in coordination and project management

4-wall including ads, resort & village signage, on mountain signage, resort screens

Work with team: trafficking on all marketing program and campaigns to ensure consistent timing & message through all planned channels.

Develop and execute on new ways to market and communicate 4-wall

Maintain full knowledge of Copper Products and involvement in further development of new products and programs.

Raising the standards of our brand and marketing efforts through creativity, researching inspiration & competition, and following current marketing design trends and strategies as our industry evolves.

Basic Requirements:

Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. of material when necessary.

Intermediate or above skiing and/or riding ability.

Applicants without portfolio will not be considered.

Must have a valid US Driver’s license.

Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Very strong oral and written communication skills.  Advanced computer skills including Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design), MS Office products.  Knowledge of installation of projects, experience with vendors, and printing knowledge is a plus. Must be able to represent Copper Mountain at community events throughout the year.  Must have own transportation.  Relationship and teambuilding skills a must. Highly motivated and self-directed. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external partners. This position works closely with internal business unit managers, marketing and design team and outside agencies to ensure successful completion of all projects and plans. Knowledge of marketing and ski industry a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related business field. Minimum of two years’ experience in marketing and/or the resort industry.
