About the Role:

As a member of the Editorial team, you will spend each day immersed in the private markets, aiming to help our customers be better investors, advisors, and market participants. The work you will do plays a direct role in the evolution of the industry!

The Graphic Designer role is ideal for someone interested in advancing their creative skillset, perfecting the skill of translating data and analysis into impactful visual content, further developing design communication skills, and expanding their knowledge of editorial design best practices. Utilizing PitchBook’s rich, expansive, and ever-evolving brand, this role offers the opportunity to develop engaging designs that are viewed by millions of clients each week. The Graphic Designer will focus on many different aspects of graphic design, including illustrations, photo manipulation, editorial-style layout, data graphics, presentations, and production for our diverse library of research reports.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

\n\nAct a steward of PitchBook’s identity; successfully work within brand guidelines while capitalizing on the full breadth of creative possibilities \nDemonstrate a variety of aesthetic approaches across audiences and genres for custom projects \nDemonstrate technical command of tools and capacity to handle multiple projects across editorial (e.g. report production, newsletter illustrations, data visualizations, and design requests for internal teams and clients) \nContribute to general improvement across report templates and processes with a focus on efficiencies \nEnhance data visualization efforts by developing fresh ideas that bring PitchBook’s interactive data to life \nParticipate in recurring internal design meetings with effective, constructive feedback on a variety of projects \nWork through creative challenges in collaboration with other designers \nDemonstrate successful cross-collaboration with other teams and departments; help guide creative strategies \nInnovate new types of products and projects in collaboration with research analysts and team leads \nDemonstrate an advanced understanding of private markets to help elevate informational storytelling \nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors \nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested \n\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree\n2+ years of experience in producing long-form content with demonstrated abilities in editorial branding\nProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; specifically, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop \nAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environment and learn new systems and software easily \nExperience in producing long-form content with demonstrated abilities in editorial branding \nExperience with data-driven storytelling through design, familiarity with financial industry a plus \nWeb design knowledge or experience with Figma is a plus \nStrong written and verbal communicator \nProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily\n\n

Compensation

\n\nAnnual base salary: $68,500-72,500\n Target annual bonus percentage: 5%\n\n

 

\n

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

\n

 

\n

Working Conditions:

\n

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

\n

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
