Graphic Designer
OVERVIEW: Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a visionary Graphic Designer to join our design team join the Mainline Ready to Wear & Leather Goods & Heaven based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. This role is ideal for a highly creative individual with a strong aesthetic sensibility, an ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling visuals, and a deep understanding of the luxury fashion landscape. RESPONSIBILITIES : + Develop and execute innovative graphic concepts across ready-to-wear and leather goods, ensuring alignment with the brand’s artistic direction. + Design prints, patterns, illustrations, and textile graphics for seasonal collections, ensuring a seamless integration with silhouettes and materials. + Collaborate closely with the design and product development teams to bring graphic ideas to life in both physical and digital forms. + Research and experiment with new techniques, applications, and materials to push creative boundaries. + Maintain an acute awareness of fashion, art, culture, and graphic trends, infusing fresh perspectives into design proposals. + Oversee the development of graphic assets, ensuring a high standard of execution from concept through production. + Work directly with vendors and manufacturers to ensure accurate application of graphics on textiles, leather, and other surfaces. + Create compelling visual presentations to communicate design ideas effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders. + CAD up designs onto actual designs to visualize and refine graphic placements. + Create renderings to enhance presentation materials and communicate design intent clearly. + Execute graphic design tech packs. QUALIFICATIONS: + 6+ years of experience in graphic design within a luxury fashion house or high-end brand. + A strong, distinctive portfolio showcasing work across RTW, accessories, and leather goods. + Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools. + Strong illustration skills, with the ability to create hand-drawn and digital artworks. + Excellent understanding of textile printing, embroidery techniques, and material application. + A passion for storytelling through design, with the ability to create emotionally resonant and commercially viable pieces. + Strong ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + A natural collaborator with strong communication and presentation skills. SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:  The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000 - $95,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
