The OpportunityBlack & Veatch, a globally recognized, employee-owned engineering firm, is seeking a talented graphic designer to create compelling technical graphics for proposals. In this role, you’ll craft visuals that effectively communicate complex ideas, enhance storytelling, and highlight key messages—directly contributing to our success in winning work. Key ResponsibilitiesThe Graphic Designer will have the opportunity to:
Create compelling visual narratives through traditional infographics and engineering-focused graphics, including process flow diagrams, work plans, schedules, and project site aerials. Design page layouts that prioritize clear information hierarchy and graphic excellence for optimal readability. Develop engaging PowerPoint presentations for client interviews, supplementing a company template. Manage multiple fast-paced projects, balancing deadlines and priorities while maintaining high-quality design standards. Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand their vision and transform complex ideas into impactful proposal graphics that effectively communicate key messages. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in graphics, design, or a related field; or equivalent experience. 2+ years related experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will:
Learn quickly and design efficiently, adapting to a consistent brand style while bringing creativity and resourcefulness to every project. Be a proactive problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong team-oriented mindset. Excel in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, with advanced skills in Photoshop and PowerPoint. Design with precision, ensuring graphic excellence, clear information hierarchy, and optimal readability. Communicate and collaborate effectively, translating complex ideas into compelling visuals. Bring 5+ years of experience in graphic design, ideally in a fast-paced in-house marketing or corporate environment. Online portfolio is required. Work Environment/Physical Demands
