We are seeking for Graphics Designer to support its federal client program at Ft. Belvoir VA.
INSCOM executes mission command of operational intelligence forces; conducts worldwide multidiscipline and all source intelligence operations; delivers advanced skills training, linguist support, specialized quick reaction capabilities, intelligence related logistics, and communications in support of Army, Joint, and Coalition command and the National Intelligence Community. You will be part of a team that provides comprehensive automation/information technology support to the Data Capabilities Division (DCD) worldwide intelligence dissemination, data management, and knowledge management missions.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities\:
• Create visually appealing and effective graphic designs for a variety of projects, including digital and print media such as presentations, reports, and websites.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet client expectations.
· Ensure all designs adhere to government standards, as well as maintain consistency with established brand guidelines.
o Establish guidelines for layout and composition to ensure visual consistency across all design outputs. This includes grid systems, spacing, alignment, and the placement of elements.
o Regularly review and update the brand guidelines to reflect changes in the brand’s strategy and design best practices.
· Develop a distinctive and versatile logo that represents the brand's identity.
o Create variations of the logo for different uses, including color, monochrome, and simplified versions.
· Engage with DCD personnel to gather feedback, make necessary adjustments to designs, and ensure satisfaction.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design practices and outputs.
· Utilize advanced features of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts.
· Apply technical skills in color theory, typography, composition, and layout to create visually compelling designs.
o Select a cohesive color palette that aligns with the brand’s personality and evokes the desired emotional response from the audience.
o Define primary, secondary, and accent colors, and provide guidance on their appropriate usage.
o Choose a set of typefaces that complement the brand’s identity.
o Establish guidelines for font usage, including hierarchy, sizes, spacing, and styles for headings, body text, and special text elements.
o Develop a style guide for imagery, including the types of photos, illustrations, and icons that align with the brand.
o Provide guidelines on how to source, edit, and use these visual elements effectively.
