Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules. Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees. Facilitate the administrative workings associated with the incoming graphics for customers and other ProAmpac sites. Creates graphics department job orders for flexographic printing processes. This includes writing up specific instructions for Macintosh Operators and Prepress Specialists, as well as, communicating art information with ink, plate making, plate mounting, press, customer service, bag, pouch, slitting and rewinding departments. Works with external service providers (such as SGS, OEC, Schawk, etc.) to generate plating files, sleeves, or plates. Proofreads generated proofs and / or files for accuracy of content and layout. Builds relationships with customers and provides them with proofs, PDFs, ink draw-downs, etc. for their approval as required. Keeps organized files of all customer art files, samples, paperwork, ink requests and other correspondence. Coordinates orders from initial receipt of art files and orders through the final plate-making process. Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with co-workers, customers, and suppliers. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Six months to one-year related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of People Soft or Axapta or similar software, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word and Excel, FTP and email software preferred.
