As a Graphics Software Developer, you’ll work at the forefront of technology, developing critical training systems like the CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer. Here, you’ll craft real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems including a submarine periscope simulation, a submarine bridge simulation, and a ship weapons simulation. This cutting-edge visual simulation is used in a variety of naval training and simulation systems, utilized throughout the US Navy.  All software is developed in a Linux environment, and written in C++ and OpenGL, utilizing the Unreal graphics engine and various software packages.

Do you have an advanced degree or ongoing education in computer science, or a strong background in advanced math or physics? Ideal candidates bring expertise in areas like cluster computing, signal processing, Kubernetes, numerical simulation, multi-threading, GPUs, data visualization, underwater acoustic modeling, or sonar systems.

Required Education & Experience

Education: B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required upon employment).

Skills: Minimum 4  years of developing graphics applications, primarily in C++ utilizing the Unreal graphics engine, strong Linux proficiency and some experience with game programming, 3D graphics development, or other visual simulation systems

Preferred Experience

Education: Advanced degree, ongoing education in computer science, or an advanced math/physics background.

Skills: Familiarity with high performance computing, graphics hardware and GPU internals experience, or developing for Virtual Reality headsets.

Tools: Experience with OpenSceneGraph, 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, or similar modeling tools.

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
