Job Title Graphics Specialist Posting Number F006375 Position Status Full Time Assignment Length Not Applicable Grant Funded No Category Instructional Support Class Code 53 Starting Pay $37,752 Special Note Location Trinity River Department DT Graphic Services Job Summary Reporting to the assigned department leader, the Graphics Specialist is responsible for the production of instructional and/or promotional artwork for faculty, staff and administration to include illustration, design and layout, as well as photography. Other responsibilities include maintaining work order logs, operating and minor maintenance of production equipment, and monitoring job requests and completion dates. This position designs and produces materials such as posters, fliers, programs, display boards, lettering, banners, magazines, and brochures. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements* Responsible for the development and production of original artwork for classroom instructional materials including slides and transparencies, brochures, posters, signage, and computer graphics Designs and develops original artwork as needed Responsible for artwork production to include design, layout and type specification; illustration; technical drawing; computer graphics; and preparation of signage Operates and maintains equipment to maintain quality control Manages efficient workflow Assists in training student personnel Consults with faculty and staff on work orders Records, bills, and electronically files jobs as completed Assists in training and supervision of student personnel Consults with clients Mounts, laminates, frames artwork as needed Assists with editing digital photos

Required Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or 60 college hours  At least one (1) completed college course in art, graphics or design to include basic artistic computer graphics skills One (1) year’s working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
