Responsibilities:

You will play an integral role in delivering consulting services for ESG in the real estate sector including Green Building certification (LEED and WELL), GRESB, and ESG strategy for real estate clients. Areas of project focus will include:

Analyze client documentation and identify improvement opportunities (gap analysis) for target Green Building certification and/or ESG goalsPrepare client deliverables in the areas of ESG, climate change, circular economy, green buildings, renewable energy, sustainable finance, supply chain management, biodiversity, etc.Prepare submittal documents that demonstrate compliance with the requirements that withstand rigorous third-party verification review for green building certification programs, such as LEED and WELL. Support corporate sustainability and integrated reporting and ESG rating, climate-related accounting, and disclosure, including outlining, writing, editing, and proofreading content and other client communications.Participate in client meetings and design workshops and maintain required documentation.Assist in general business development research, marketing, and other development tasks.Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Master's degree preferred (environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, environmental science,  architecture, green building design).2–5 years of relevant experience in green building, building design, or construction, particularly within the green building sector or consultancy, is required. The level of the position may be adjusted based on the candidate's experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese required the ability to translate complex issues into concise, relevant stories.Maintaining LEED and WELL AP credentials would be an advantageCan-do attitude and enthusiasm are necessary as is strict attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently. Strong analytical, logic, problem solver and systematic thinking skillsWillingness to undertake short business travel.
 

Nice to haves:

Demonstrate strong communication skills with MEP designers and contractors by using accurate terminology.Backgrounds in energy efficiency practices in the built environmentAbility to translate energy consumption data into GHG emissionsEnergy or daylight simulation experiences
