Job Title: Greenhouse Biologist
Job Description

We are seeking two skilled biologists to join our team and support our greenhouse lab. You will work in a greenhouse environment part of the time and process samples in a lab. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in biology or science, solid experience with Excel, and experience working with plants.

ResponsibilitiesCollect high-quality plant material for laboratory analysis from a variety of crop species and environments.Process plant material samples in a laboratory setting, effectively communicating with study directors, operations personnel, and others while adhering to approved protocols and standard operating procedures.Upload and track information within greenhouse and laboratory systems.Communicate experimental results, activity status, and potential concerns effectively and promptly with the team and external stakeholders.Optimize and troubleshoot technical issues, identify process improvements, and provide innovative solutions for implementation.Essential SkillsDegree in Biology, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field.Hands-on experience and knowledge in greenhouse operations and laboratory sample processing.Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Ability to develop novel yet practical approaches or solutions.Proven ability to collaborate in a team and meet project deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation skills.Experience working in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsHorticulturePlant careAgricultureBotanyAgronomyGreenhouse operationsPlant maintenanceWork Environment

This role involves working in both a greenhouse and laboratory setting. You will be required to handle plant materials and utilize various technologies and equipment. The position demands good organizational skills and effective communication with team members and external stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesterfield,MO.
