The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation Must be dependable

Responsibilities:

Performs general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment Rakes and maintains sand bunkers Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing. Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up). Assists with golf course set-up procedures Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris. Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.) Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Minimum Qualifications for the Greenskeeper:

 One month related experience or training.  Must have a valid driver's license.
Other Qualifications: Regular and reliable attendance
