Greystone Power Lineman School Scholarship Program Job Code: 2025\-400\-007 Division: Operations FT/PT Status: Internship Position Based In: Hiram Apply Before: 04/27/2025 **Job Summary:** **SELECTION CRITERIA:** + Completed application + A 250\-500 word typed essay on “Why I want to be a lineman” + Two \(2\) letters of recommendation \(one personal and one professional or academic\) + Be available for a personal interview with the scholarship selection team **Key Responsibilities:** **GreyStone Power Lineman School Scholarship Program** **Purpose: To assist, support, and encourage local individuals entering a lineman training school in Georgia** **Availability: 4 \- $7,500 scholarships** **Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** **QUALIFICATIONS:** Individuals must meet the following requirements to apply: + Must have an interest in a career as a distribution system lineman\. + Work is performed outdoors, in heat, cold and inclement weather conditions and at heights, underground or in confined spaces\. + Work is physically demanding and requires climbing, lifting, twisting and other activities + High school graduate, GED equivalent, or be a graduating senior in good standing + Must be a GreyStone Power member or GreyStone Power member’s child living in a home served by GreyStone Power\. + Drug\-free + Safe driving record to be verified through a Georgia Motor Vehicle Report and no known medical issues that would prohibit the student from eventually obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License\. + Must be willing to sign a photo release **Physical Demands \(if applicable\):**
