OPPORTUNITY: Grill Cook
Hourly service ranging from 1pm - 11pm. Grill Cooks will be cooking on the hotline alongside our chefs, picking up dinner, IRD, and banquet items as well as the preparation and execution of items on the AM Production list. A strong work ethic, positive mental attitude, the ability to adapt in high pressure situations, and a desire to learn new techniques is a must. Reliability & flexibility are highly considered in our application process.
Pay rate will depend on experience, flexibility, and growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Preparing food of consistent quality following recipes with production and portion standards.Proper use of prep lists and ability to assess items that can be prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over-produce estimated needs causing excess and waste.Checking pars at beginning of shifts and able to determine necessary preparations for station and hotline set-up noting any out-of-stock items or possible shortages using said prep lists.Ability to set up and break down stations properly using Opening/Closing Checklists.Dating all food containers, consolidating, and rotating as per HHM and CA food handler standards (FIFO), making sure that all perishables are kept in proper containers and at proper temperatures including all products being received from vendors such as produce, seafood, proteins, and dry goods.Assisting in suggestions for setting up plans of action to correct any food cost problems, mitigating food waste, and loss as per HHM standards.Operate, maintain, organize, and properly clean kitchen tools, and equipment.Organize, consolidate, clean, and maintain all food storage areas, freezer, and walk-insPracticing safe work habits, wearing PPE and following MSDS and OSHA standards.Performing other duties as requested by management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.Positive mental attitude.Strong work ethic.Ability to adapt and persevere in high pressure situations.2 years of relevant experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONTEXT:
Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
