JOB SUMMARY:
Our cooks are responsible for providing exceptional service and nutritional food to our campers, guests, and staff. Would be required to use a variety of industrial kitchen appliances to prepare foods. Must be able to follow basic instruction and multi-task to prepare the proper amount of food in a timely manner and properly clean the kitchen area after service.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Strong understanding of good food safety practices
Strong cooking ability, with understanding of all basic cooking techniques
Ability to use basic kitchen utensils and equipment
Ability to follow recipes and use basic math to determine preparation quantities
Well-spoken and articulate over the phone, through written contact, and in person
Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable handling confidential information
Successful working in an independent and team environment
Be punctual and prepared to greet and serve guests in a cordial, professional manner with a smile and positive attitude
Dress neatly, modestly, in a professional manner, appropriate for the daily duties and in compliance for health and safety standards
Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of people
Comfortability in interacting with kids aged 8-17

Basic Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Physical capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations and guidelines
Must be comfortable working in outdoor and indoor all-season environments
Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings
Develop a mindset to always help or cross train with all staff and departments
Ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team
Required for employment
Must provide 2 references
Must successfully pass a background check screening to ensure suitability of contact with minor children and the public, in accordance with federal, state and local jurisdictions
