Adecco is currently seeking a B- Shift Grinder, in Rochester, NY. To be considered for the B- Shift Grinder position, candidates must have a minimum of 3-years previous direct experience in manufacturing environment. The B-Shift Grinder will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of grinders to ensure production efficiency. The role requires strong attention to detail, with the ability to work to precise tolerances on delicate parts. The person in this position must maintain high-quality standards, conduct in-process inspections, and uphold the company's core values. **Responsibilities of the B-Shift Grinder:** · Set up, adjust, and operate reciprocating or rotary wheel table-type surface grinders, often managing multiple machines simultaneously. · Ensure work meets strict tolerances, accounting for temperature effects and material aging. · Perform necessary shop math and calculations to complete tasks accurately. · Demonstrate knowledge of various tooling and proper installation techniques. · Maintain tooling for optimal performance. · Clean machines and coolant tanks regularly. · Adhere to company policies and procedures. **Requirements of the Assembler:** · High school diploma or GED required. · 2-4 years of grinding experience. · Ability to perform physical tasks, including intermittent sitting, standing, and/or walking, with occasional lifting of materials up to 40 pounds. · Intermediate-level experience with surface, cylindrical, Blanchard, centerless, and form grinders. · Proficient in using micrometers, indicators, calipers, and Indi-square. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints. · Capable of holding ±0.0001” tolerances for dimensional accuracy, parallelism, perpendicularity, and flatness. · Familiarity with G & M code programming. · Experience truing grinding wheels. · Previous experience grinding hard materials such as glass, ceramics, and carbides.
