**Job Title: Grinder Operator** If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for quality craftsmanship, we encourage you to apply! **Job Description:** We are looking for a detail-oriented Grinder Operator to join our team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain grinding and related tools to remove excess material, sharpen edges, and polish metal components. You will be responsible for replacing worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts, as well as selecting the appropriate grade of abrasives based on specifications. Additionally, you may assist in other production areas as needed while adhering to all safety protocols. **Key Responsibilities:** + Set up and operate grinding tools to achieve desired finishes on metal parts. + Replace worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts as necessary. + Select the correct grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to specifications. + Assist in other production areas when required. + Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. **Required Skills:** + Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication is essential. + Experience in a metal fabrication shop is preferred. + Ability to replace and select appropriate abrasive materials. **Soft Skills:** + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Ability to follow safety procedures diligently. + Willingness to assist in various production tasks as needed. **Job Type:** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of four months. **Work Site:** This position is fully on-site in Clarence, New York. **Work Environment:** You will work in a machine shop environment where dust, grease, and metal shavings are common. Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes or boots, is required. The environment is not climate-controlled, with fans placed throughout the facility for ventilation.
