**Job Title: Grinder Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Grinder Operator, you will perform essential operations on Grinder machines, including loading and unloading parts, part inspection, and wheel preparation and changing. You will also clean and perform preventive maintenance and minor adjustments on the assigned equipment. Additionally, you will prepare various logs and records to document machine operation and daily production, entering the required data into the computer. The role involves moving and transporting parts to appropriate locations as needed, maintaining safe, clean, and orderly work areas, and interacting with various groups and individuals including the immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other shop personnel.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate Grinder machines including loading and unloading parts.
+ Inspect parts and prepare grinding wheels.
+ Clean and perform preventive maintenance and minor adjustments on equipment.
+ Document machine operations and daily production in logs and records.
+ Enter required data into the computer.
+ Move and transport parts to appropriate locations as needed.
+ Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
+ Review and refer to various records and reports including travelers, shift reports, SOP, and safety sheets.
+ Prepare labor sheets and non-conformance forms.
+ Communicate with immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other shop personnel.
+ Operate grinders, micrometers, gauges, and various power tools.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience as a machine operator.
+ Knowledge of assembly and mechanical processes.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in general labor.
