**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY** Reporting to the Blend Lead, the incumbent is responsible for operating the Blend/Grind systems working safely and efficiently to produce quality compounds and regrind materials for the siding and accessory extruders. **NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION** Incumbent must be able to use and interpret measurement instruments, such as scales and digital monitors. A basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude is also required. Must have a valid forklift license and abilities to operate machinery **SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES** 1. Works on a reasonably independent basis receiving moderate Supervision or guidance. 2. Incumbent must have the ability to inventory all materials within the Blend/Grind area and report this information to management upon request 3. Coordinates all activity for the Blend/Grind systems to meet production demands 4. Records Blend/Grind data honestly and accurately. 5. Reacts to out of control conditions by correcting problems and notifying supervisor, also notes condition and solution on daily blend/grind sheet. 6. Monitors operation of scales, analogs, amps, temps, flow times, and grind operations. 7. Continually strives to reduce variation and improve quality. 8. Performs maintenance for Blend/Grind systems including Blade changes and daily inspections. 9. Responsible for housekeeping and keeping the department working safely at all times. 10.
