Job Title: Grinder Operator

Job Description

As a Grinder Operator, you will identify surface defects on forged parts via surface inspection and remove any defects using powered hand grinders, cutting burrs, polishers, and cut-off wheels. You will use calipers and tape measures effectively to ensure the integrity of the forged part. Your role includes removing flash extensions, blending in cracks that have been removed to prevent void spaces, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. You will work safely, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and participate as a committed team member. Compliance with all company procedures and safety requirements is essential, and you will perform all other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify surface defects on forged parts via surface inspection.Remove surface defects using powered hand grinders, cutting burrs, polishers, and cut-off wheels.Use calipers and tape measures effectively.Remove flash extensions while maintaining the integrity of forged parts.Blend removed cracks to prevent void spaces.Maintain a clean and safe work area.Work safely and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Communicate and participate as a team member.Maintain compliance with all company procedures and safety requirements.Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.Essential SkillsExperience with grinders, grinding, polishing, and deburring.Experience in the manufacturing industry.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to communicate well and read/follow directions in English.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing environment.General labor and production helper experience.Why Work Here?

This role is in a manufacturing environment where you must be comfortable working in a dirty and dusty setting. 1st shift 5am-1:30pm

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
