**Job Title: Grinder/Shop Labor** **Pay:** $19.50 to $23.89 per hour **Shift:** + Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM + Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM **Job Description** This general production labor job involves rough grinding work. It requires hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow basic written instructions and simple diagrams. Under readily available supervision, you will use rotary or belt sanding tools to rough grind castings, remove burrs, or finish weld seams. The work may include inspecting parts for voids in welds or casting. This job typically requires hearing protection and other personal protective equipment and may be repetitive in nature. **Responsibilities** + Grind castings to remove excess material within assigned time and productivity requirements, as established for each product. + Inspect castings for defects. + Use jigs or fixtures to check castings when appropriate. + Appropriately place castings in a box or on a pallet. + Meet all company work schedule and attendance expectations and perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job. **Essential Skills** + Experience with power tools, hand and power tools, grinders, deburring, and grinding. + Experience in production, inspection, carpentry, deburring, polishing, and power tools. + Capability to perform each task within the allowable time set by the company. + Strong written and oral communication skills. + Ability to read and write. + Basic computer skills and experience. + Ability to work in a team. + Ability to use tools and equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3+ months of experience in a production/manufacturing role (preferred). **Why Work Here?** We offer a range of benefits, including quarterly profit-sharing bonuses, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long-term/short-term disability insurance, employee assistance program (EAP), and a 401(k) with employer matching. **Work Environment** You will be working in a large foundry with 75 other workers.
