KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.
KBR is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer to work on complex projects crucial to our national security objectives. They will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to assist the government in implementing and executing systems engineering processes to integrate ground systems into the operational baseline at a customer facility in Denver, CO.

Be the trusted advisor: Partner with the government to plan, engineer, integrate, and oversee ground system operations and maintenance, ensuring mission success.Architect the future: Analyze and document site system architectures while assessing the impacts of system updates and deliveries.Foster collaboration: Work seamlessly with Headquarters Directorates, site organizations, and mission partners to align project requirements and mitigate risks across cost, schedule, and technical dimensions.Deliver excellence: Create and present in-depth analyses, actionable recommendations, strategic plans, and polished reports/briefings to empower decision-making and drive results.Work Environment:

Required:
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) field required (contractual requirement) and nine (9) years or more relevant experience; master’s and seven (7) years or more experience.Knowledge of customer’s space and ground domain mission and technical capabilitiesDemonstrated experience with government customer’s systems engineering, mission readiness, and project management processes, familiar with site mission and ground systems integration procedures.Systems engineering background; understanding of systems development life cycle from concept, requirements, engineering design, integration and test, deployment, maintenance, through decommissioning.Experience in requirements definition, system architectures, systems analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation, and verification.Polished communicator and proven collaborator; demonstrated ability to coordinate across all levels of government to ensure contracts effectively deliver required services and capabilities.Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.Familiar with model-based systems engineering and digital engineering concepts and tools; Agile development methodology, cloud technologies.Desired:
Experience in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling DoD or Intelligence Community projects or Programs.Experience in architecture management, baseline audit, and verification.Familiar with JIRA, Confluence.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation: $128,300 - $192,400
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
