About the role

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort is looking for a Groundskeeper 1 who covers all facets of the groundskeeper position with an expanded role concentrating on leadership, training, and communication.

What you will do

Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs 

Assists the course maintenance staff in day-to-day operations.

Ability / Willingness to train new employees on every aspect of golf course maintenance

Ability to communicate with Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent / Equipment Technicians when any needs may arise

Provide feedback throughout projects on progress, staffing, material, and equipment.

 Ability to provide the extra level of detail / cleanliness from the shop area to the golf course

 Ability to provide the extra level of detail / cleanliness from the shop area to the golf course

Make sure all tees and traffic stakes are properly placed at all times  

Cleaning the golf operations facility every afternoon

Clean equipment and make sure trash is picked up throughout the course every day

Willing participant in Resort work events   

Must be willing to work with little to no supervision

Must be capable of supervising in the absence of management and lead by example

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

What you bring

Experience and knowledge of turf management practices as related to golf courses.  

Must have a minimum of 5 years golf course maintenance experience and/or 2 years’ experience w/ a turf degree.  

Experience with golf course equipment usage and safety.  

Need to have at least three plus years of groundskeeping experience.  

Have a clear understanding of the golf maintenance operations.   

Have a clear understanding of how to operate all machinery.   

Ability to lift 80 lbs.  

Work well with others and interact with guests and members on a limited basis.   

Able to work in a wide range of environmental and physical conditions.  

Adapt at listening to instructions and following directions from supervisors. 

Must be fluent in English

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States
