Job Summary

Maintains grounds using various types of equipment. Maintain a safe campus for patients, visitors and employees. Provide manpower support to other trade areas as needed.

Job Duties Perform snow removal.Must operate large articulated front end loaders, tractors, dump trucks, pickups and other various pieces of equipment to plow, salt and cinder parking lots and sidewalks to maintain safe conditions at all times.Must also operate snow melting equipment as needed to ensure ample parking for patients, visitors and employees.Must operate bucket truck, forklift, backhoe and front ends loaders to support trade areas on an as needed basis.Must operate large street sweeper to maintain the parking structure and parking lots to reduce possibility of damage from salt and other winter deicing materials and the ensure a clean safe environment for patients, visitors and employees.Perform preventive maintenance, clean and repair snowplows, front end loaders, road sweeper, tractors, mowers and various other grounds maintenance equipment.Prepares soil to plant flowers, lawns and shrubs.Apply fertilizer and insect control as needed.Mows and trims lawns.Prunes shrubs, weed and mulch shrub beds.Inspect plantings for evidence of insect and treat as needed.Clean road drains.Transports infectious waste, clear bag waste, recycling material and clean linens to outlaying buildings.
