**Position Description:**
Performs moderately heavy manual work in the care and maintenance of grounds including the care and maintenance of plants, shrubs, lawns, and the installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems. The Landscaper is directly responsible for the hands-on beautification of TTUHSCEP properties. Tasks involved include lawn maintenance, weeding, installation and caring for a variety of plants. Should be hard-working, team-oriented and willing to learn.

**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Supports the total quality management of Facilities Support Service mission and objectives. Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policy and procedures.
+ Works with other trades and maintenance staff to complete maintenance and installation of other building systems.
+ Works with other trades and maintenance staff to complete maintenance and installation of other building systems. Installs, maintains, operates and repairs building systems and associated equipment.
+ Prepares and submits work summaries, changes, time, and materials updates to workorders.
+ Install and maintain special system and equipment such as landscaping clocks and irrigation systems.
+ Coordinates and assists with coordination of contracted work and external service work.
+ Performs all preventive maintenance on assigned systems and equipment.
+ Responds to work related emergencies.
+ Actively participates and completes TTUHSCEP required trainings. Must have and maintain valid state of Texas driver's license and e listed as an approved driver as determined by risk management and insurance carrier. Must be able t pass the employee criminal background check.
+ Responsible for keeping all work areas, equipment and tools clean and in excellent working conditions. Installs plants, shrubs and trees for the institution responsible for the lawn, trees and shrubs, flower beds and all other landscaping needs.
+ Responsible to tend to the seasonal needs of all parking lots, fences, artwork and buildings, and the safety of all pedestrian walkways and all ADA access.
+ Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
+ Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
