Working conditions involve outdoor work, often in inclement weather. Daily travel is often required, some under poor road conditions or on back roads. Work schedule is variable may involve working in remote field locations on rare occasion. The knowledge, skills, and abilities of this position are normally attained through experience in the landscaping trades, recreational areas, golf courses, parks, etc. Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park is a 3,000-acre public recreation and nature preservation area in Montana, USA. • It features one of the largest known limestone cavern systems in the northwest. The caverns were discovered in 1892 by local hunters and became Montana's first state park. Groundskeeping duties for this position will include work around the caverns, various buildings, and the campground on a daily basis. Being comfortable in this environment is essential to the position. Other duties will consist of maintaining the grounds and facilities of the park as well as working at Fishing Access Sites located in the area. *Job Duties:* Maintaining and cleaning around the infrastructure, including areas located around the cave. This includes keeping the cave path clean and safe for visitors. Operation of push and/or riding mowers, use of string trimmers, operating small power tools and other hand tools, trash collection, cleaning fire pits, grounds maintenance, and basic brush removal. Maintaining, cleaning, & restocking comfort station facilities & latrines. Assists in Regional weed control efforts as needed. Regional and site-specific tasks may exist, and other duties may be assigned. *Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):* * Incumbent should have the knowledge and skills to work with various types of hand tools and equipment. * Must have the interest and ability to work with the general public. **Title:** *Groundskeeper* **Location:** *Whitehall* **Requisition ID:** *25140279* **Other Locations:** *Three Forks*
