**Job Title: Groundskeeper** **Job Description** The groundskeeper has the overall responsibility of maintaining the campus grounds and all equipment used by the department in the maintenance of grounds and snow removal. **Responsibilities** + Maintain campus grounds and ensure they are clean and well-kept. + Operate and maintain equipment used for grounds maintenance and snow removal. + Perform janitorial duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. + Handle snow removal to ensure campus safety during winter months. + Be on-call for emergency issues related to grounds maintenance. + Work overtime as requested by the supervisor based on workload. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma or GED + Two years of trade or technical school experience + Ability to make independent decisions and use good judgment + Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds + Valid motor vehicle operator's license with a clean driving record + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs + Sensitivity to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity + Dedication to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Two years' experience preferred, but not necessary **Why Work Here?** Enjoy great benefits, including 18 holidays, a good retirement plan with an 8% 401k match, and free tuition for employees and dependents after one year. **Work Environment** You will work on a campus university with multiple student and staff-occupied buildings. You will receive a uniform after 1-2 weeks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Valley, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
