\n \n Job Description
This Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning assigned areas of the property so that property is maintained in a clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying condition for thethe spread of unsanitary conditions and odors. Housekeeper may be required to perform tasks which involve following the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the clean-up of assigned areas of facility.
\nPosition Responsibilities
\n\nOperates various cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.\nMaintains facility in a clean and sanitary condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings.\nRequires working in damp, dusty and dirty areas.\nResponsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials. Empties trash containers.\nHandles various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Complies with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.\nPlans work schedule for major tasks.\nDamp dusts furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.\nWet mops floors in assigned areas, including bathrooms daily. Damp mops all corridor floors, lobby, dining areas, and others daily.\nCleans restrooms, wash basins, mirrors, commodes, counter tops, urinals, tubs, and showers daily. Cleans toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and counters.\nChecks all assigned areas daily to keep fresh.\nCleans air vents.\nReports any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, etc.).\nWashes windows as scheduled.\nStrips and recoats all floor areas when necessary and as scheduled.\nChecks areas for spills, water, etc. periodically, especially in bathrooms.\nUse safety precautions in all housekeeping services.\nMaintains assigned equipment in good working condition.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n Requirements
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
\nExperience/Knowledge/Abilities: 1-2 previous custodial experience preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
