**Description:**
St. Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is looking for a full time Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team!
Employment Type: Full Time (Sunday - Thursday - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
1. Receives orders from Director of Plant Engineering/Operations and Stationery Foreman or by written maintenance request.
2. Clears away litter/debris from around buildings, docks, grassy areas, parking lots, and within parking garages.
3. Waters lawn when necessary. Prunes trees and trims hedges.
4. Responsible for condition and operation of all hospital vehicles.
5. Picks up supplies, when necessary for department.
6. Assists maintenance, when needed, especially during winter months.
7. Maintains tools, lubricates trucks and equipment.
8. Maintains records of tools, equipment and gasoline usage.
9. Reports possible problem areas around hospital grounds and/or areas of possible mishaps.
10. Responsible for daily reports, including time and materials used.
11. Assists in ice and snow removal.
12. Must have current DE driver’s license; will be required to operate hospital vehicles (auto shift and/or manual transmission) trucks and/or auto.
13. Must be familiar with the local area for pick up of parts and supplies.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
15. Follows departmental policies and procedures when performing all duties.
16. Exterior painting.
17. Empty all exterior trash receptacle on campus and in parking garages.
18. Perform work inside the hospital as needed.
19. Able to use hand tools, power tools, various shop tools, and vehicles.
20. Stays productive between assigned tasks
21. Able to work independently and show initiative to accomplish goals of the department and organization
22. Keeps work and storage areas neat
23. Tools and equipment are kept clean and operable
24. Work is completed within a time frame acceptable to the supervisor.
25. Adheres to established procedures and rules; reports for work regularly and timely
26. Coordinate with contractors as needed.
