\n \n Job Description

As an employee within the Maintenance Department, performs work activities in relation to the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds within the community. This included, but is not limited to; planting, mowing, pulling weeds, structure repair, pool and building maintenance. Most of this work is performed outdoors which fluctuates in temperature extremes from 0 to 120 degrees.

\n Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

\n\nPerform grounds keeping and building maintenance per standard operation procedures.\nMow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower.\nLandscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, bushes, and trees.\nApply pesticides or set traps to rid grounds of pests.\nInform and advise the management to ensure proper moisture for growth.\nIrrigation repairs and/or additions.\nRake, mulch, prune and pull weeds on grounds as needed or as directed.\nInstall rock, cement, lighting, furniture, signs, or fences as needed.\nWeed abatement to prevent fire. This can include mowing, discing or hand work on all association common areas or lots.\nCulvert cleaning or installation.\nAbility to work, consistently, in adverse conditions safely.\nMust be able to work any required schedule.\nAdhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of the job.\nProper usage of personal protective equipment.\nMust be professional and courteous with residents of the community.\nPerform other necessary tasks as directed by supervisor and Board, as needed.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

Knowledge and Skills

\n\nAbility to work on a team.\nSense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.\nAble to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\nCan work independently with minimal supervision.\n\n

Education and Experience

\n\nHighschool diploma or equivalent\nTwo years of experience in landscape or grounds keeping.\n\n

Licenses and Certifications

\n\nMust have a valid Driver’s License.\n\n

\n

Working Conditions

\n\nMust be able to walk, stand, shovel, rake or weed whack for long periods of time.\nAbility to climb ladders.\nCan work in extreme temperatures.\nSchedule: Monday – Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.\nRate of Pay: $20.00 per hour.\n
