\n \n Job Description

Groundskeepers generally work independently, for management companies, or directly for otheremployers, and are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal ofparticular areas of land. As such, they usually work outside and must be able to withstand hot and coldweather. Common duties include mowing lawns, pulling weeds, trimming hedges, planting flowers andshrubbery, fertilizing, watering, raking leaves, and generally keeping the lawn, plants, and hedges ingood shape.

\n Requirements

Duties include but are not limited to:

\n\nHandle basic preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.\nKeep the grounds in a clean and attractive manner.\nMonitor the upkeep and maintenance of the landscaping and grounds daily.\nCleans sidewalks and disposes of debris and trash properly.\nAssist other staff with larger maintenance repairs or projects.\nOther duties assigned.\n\n

Knowledge & Skills

\n\nKnowledge of equipment such as lawnmowers, blowers, and trimmers, and be familiar with a variety of gardening tools to be used for different purposes. They must also be reliable and physically fit, as their job can be quite labor-intensive.\nKnowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)\nKnowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nInterpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\n\n

Education and Experience

\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\n0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience\n\n

Working Conditions

\n\nTypical outside work environment (frequent standing, walking, lifting and/or operating powered
equipment using proper safety techniques or tools).\nSchedule: Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm\n\n

Work is performed in a climate-controlled office without exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, toxic agents, violence, disease, or pathogenic substances.

Wage Range: $16.50 an hour.

\n

This position is located in Aguanga at Rancho California RV Resort - just a short drive from Temecula.
