Sucessful candidates will create and improve wafer fabrication operations by designing, running and analyzing experiments for processes supporting technologies like superconducting electronics, quantum computing circuits, radiation hardened electronics and charge coupled imagers. Potential focus areas include data analytics, value stream mapping, photolithography, reactive ion etching, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition, wafer bonding, wet chemical processing and ion implantation.
An undergraduate background in physics, chemistry, engineering or statistics and a willingness to work in a cleanroom are key requirements. Candidates must also have enthusiasm for solving problems and an interest in teaming.
