Description
Since 1985, Seafield Center has helped people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction to begin the transforming journey to recovery. From detox and inpatient rehabilitation, to outpatient treatment and sober living recovery homes, we provide those battling addiction with the roadmaps towards healing. We are licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services & Supports and accredited by the Joint Commission.
MAIN FUNCTION:
- To be responsible for the direct treatment of an assigned caseload of patients who are addicted to alcohol or any other mind/mood altering substances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provide group, individual, and family counseling.
+ Complete assessments, admissions, and treatment plans.
+ Document services and maintain contact with referral sources.
+ Generate Referral Progress Reports and attend case reviews.
+ Ensure compliance with confidentiality policies and federal regulations.
+ Assist with discharge and transitional planning.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
+ Assessment, referral, and treatment planning
+ Group, individual, and family counseling
+ Didactic presentation and documentation
+ Crisis intervention and age-specific clinical skills (Adolescents, Geriatric)
+ Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
CASAC or CASAC eligible, or B/S-B/A with working knowledge of substance abuse disorders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
+ Requires talking, hearing, and specific vision (close, distance, focus).
+ Mostly sedentary with occasional walking and standing.
+ Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and office equipment.
Part time opportunities available (part-time is 4:00pm - 8:30pm)Salary: $22.00-$26.00 / Hour
